One can easily get lost in the physical act of foot-washing when reading John 13. Jesus told His disciples that He was giving them an example. What did He mean? One thing for sure was that the literal act of washing feet was not what Jesus was getting at. This lesson points out the spiritual connections that are clearly present as Jesus performs this humble act of service.
