The Holy Spirit made provision for the mutual benefit of all members in the church. One specific group given special attention are widows indeed. They were and are a select group of widows in the church who do not have a proper support system. As such, the church is tasked with filling that gap, but the requirements for being added to the list were and remain very stringent so that the church is not unnecessarily burdened.
