Just prior to the Babylonian decimation of the kingdom of Judah, the prophet Habakkuk wonders about God's seeming inaction in the face of prevalent evil. When God does answer him, Habakkuk wonders why God plans to act the way that He will. These two questions undergird much of our lack of insight into the issues of the world and God's overall plan.
