Our mid-week study continues in the "Book of Nehemiah".  Looking at chapters 7 & 8, we see God's continual care of His people and importance of being instructed of His commandments.  It is key to remember that passages, such as the genealogies in chapter 7, indicate that God is specific in certain areas of His word and that should never be dismissed as unworthy of our time to study.  Furthermore, without this section of Scripture, the genealogy of Christ in Matthew chapter 1 would not be significant.  God's word always points in the direction of Jesus.
