We continue in our study of the "Gospel of John". The Lord demonstrates His deity by raising Lazarus from the dead. This proves that Christ has power over life and death. Phealon also leads the class through the introduction of chapter 12, where we see a banquet at the house of Lazarus. His sister, Mary, humbly submits to the Lord a well-pleasing offering. We need to ask ourselves: "Are our lives an acceptable offering to the Lord?" When all is said and done, the faithful will be raised to everlasting life and the unbelievers will experience eternal separation and suffering.
