Jonah serves as an excellent example to us; both of disobedience and its punishments as well as obedience and its rewards. His second chance from God shows how longsuffering the Lord can be with His disobedient children. Jonah ran from God; we do the same when we sin. But God longs to receive us back with Him so that we can once more run together!
