Robert Lowry wrote a hymn a a century and a half ago entitled "Christ Arose." While the hymn is nothing fancy lyrically, it stand the test of time as one of the most powerful hymns we sing in praise today. It speaks to Jesus' dramatic defeat of death through death itself on behalf of vile men and women in need of God's grace.
