Prior to his birth, Samuel is devoted to the Lord by his mother, Hannah. Throughout his life, Samuel respected this commitment and chose utter devotion to God. Even after his death, when he is summoned by the spirit medium for Saul, Samuel demonstrates continued dedication to the Lord. He is an amazing example of how to live a life consecrated to God.
