Jeremiah was a young and effective prophet of the Lord. In fact, in most standard Hebrew texts, the book of Jeremiah is actually the longest book of the Old Testament, thus demonstrating his importance. His ministry was fivefold in that he was a preacher, writer, intercessor, statesman, and counselor.
