"The Danger of Chasing Positive Self-Esteem"

Eric speaks this morning on a very timely subject.  The world puts the person on an elevation where it should not be.  That however does not mean that an individual does not have great value in the eyes of God.  It is only through God, that every person can truly have the proper view of oneself.  God has called each believer to live a life of self-sacrifice and not lovers of self.  In order to do this, one must possess humility.  Being humble means that you are not thinking less of yourself, but only that you are thinking of yourself less.
